Cybersecurity Belongs in the Boardroom

Protecting your company starts with knowledge
No backup - no pity! David Nelles (Sales Klaes IT / Systemschub) introduced his web presentation on cyber security with this clear message. The aim of the event was to sensitise customers, make risks tangible and show which solutions Klaes and Systemschub use to actively support companies in securing their IT.
Cyber security is a matter for the boss! Cyber attacks, fires, floods or break-ins - the threats are manifold. Today, IT security means much more than virus protection. Companies need to take action before something happens, because the consequences can be life-threatening.
Current figures prove that the danger is real. Using data from Telekom honeypots, David Nelles showed how high the waves of attacks really are: Over 59 million attacks on German systems were registered in 30 days alone. These figures emphasise how important it is to be prepared.
This is how attackers proceed - and how to protect yourself. David Nelles made it clear: attackers rarely act in a targeted manner, they automatically search for vulnerabilities – and find them where security gaps exist. This makes modern protective measures such as
- EDR software (Endpoint Detection and Response): Detects suspicious activities in real time.
- Vulnerability monitoring: Detects missing updates and potential risks.
- Awareness training: Train employees in the secure handling of emails & Co.
Backups are mandatory - not optional. A key topic: backup strategies. Secure, encrypted and not on your own premises - whether cloud, KOB or outsourced. Because if you can't restore your data quickly in an emergency, you'll quickly grind to a halt.
Klaes and Systemschub see cyber security not as a technical issue, but as a corporate responsibility. With clear recommendations, practical training and the right IT infrastructure, we support companies on their way to a secure IT future.
